I get up at 7 am- make the tea and read the paper for an hour. We get a different paper every day so that the children are not unduly influenced in any particular way. I am also on call from 7 am until 8.30 am for patients from the practice and I may have to do a call or a home visit before I get into work at 8.30 am at the practice or the primary care trust (PCT). My week is split, with Monday mornings and Thursdays all day and Friday afternoons at the PCT with the rest of the time at the practice.
